Cut out desired shapes such as rectangular or circular.

Use a bristle brush to apply enough slip on all scored edges. Slip is a mixture of clay and water. Slip acts as a glue to stick the pieces together.

Build proportional walls.

Leave the vase to dry under the shade.

Trim the edges of the shapes you want to join to form the walls of the flower vase.

Using a rolling pin, roll out clay into a flat sheet and make sure it is smooth.

Form the base of the vase to your desired shape.
