Equivalent fractions
Group Activity 1
In groups of four:
- Take four equal rectangular paper strips.
- Label the first strip one whole as shown.

- Fold the second paper strip into two equal parts along the length to get halves.

- Fold the third paper into four equal parts to get quarters.

- Fold the fourth paper into eight equal parts to get eighths.

- Glue the four paper strips on a manila paper to form a fraction chart as shown.
- Discuss and share with other groups.
