Group Activity 3

In groups of three:

Get two equal rectangular paper strips.
Divide one of the papers into four equal parts and shade $\frac{3}{4} .$
Divide the second paper strip into six equal parts. Shade five parts to get $\frac{5}{6} .$
Compare the part shaded $\frac{3}{4}$ and the part shaded $\frac{5}{6} .$
Discuss and share with other groups.

Which fraction is greater, $\frac{2}{3}$ or $\frac{4}{5} ?$

$\frac{4}{5}$ is greater than $\frac{2}{3} .$
