Group Activity 2

In groups of five:

  1. Measure the sides of a cuboid.
  2. Count how many sides and surfaces make a cuboid.
  3. Trace the cuboid below.
  1. Use your drawing to answer the questions below:
  1. How many surfaces are equal to the surfaces marked A, B, C? 
  2. How many sides are equal to sides marked D, E, F? 
  3. How many sides make a surface? 
  4. How many sides form a corner? 
  5. How many surfaces make a cuboid?  
  1. Identify two objects shaped like a cuboid.
  2. Discuss and share your results with other groups.

Note

  1. The flat surfaces of a cuboid are called faces.
  2. Two faces meet to form a side or an edge.
  3. Two or more edges meet to form a corner.
