Group Activity 3

In groups of ten.

  1. Get an empty match box each.
  2. Write the name of your favourite fruit on a piece of paper and place it on a table.
  3. Group leader collects the papers and groups the papers according to favourite fruits.
  4. The leader writes the name of each fruit on a piece of paper and places the papers on a table as shown.
  1. Each member carefully places a matchbox on the paper on which the favourite fruit is written to form a pile.
  2. Show the representation of the piles on a manila paper.
  3. Discuss and share with other groups.

Example 1

Pupils in a certain class recorded the number of members in their families as:
6, 5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 3, 2, 4, 6, 5, 4, 5, 3, 6, 5, 7, 4, 5 and 6.
