Group Activity 9
In pairs: Nyoro walked 30 km 100 m in 7 days. He walked equal distances each day.
Find the distance he covered in a day.
- Set the question in division form.
- First divide km by 7. Write the quotient above 30 km.
- Multiply the quotient by 7 and write the answer below 30. Subtract the product from 30 km.
- Convert the result obtained in (3) into metres and add it to 100 m.
- Divide the result in (4) by 7. Write the quotient above 100.
- Discuss the results and share with other groups.
